I tried to post...
...an entry last night but the page wouldn't load or something. Maybe I ought to go with LJ or something similar because this is getting thoroughly ridiculous.

Yup. recently there's been some serious slow down. I know the site won't load at all for me from about 11:00pm to at least 4:00am. Anyway, who knows what'll happen...

Mainly it's the influx of users leaving LJ for GJ. Cashew probably has more on that story.

GJ's already disabled creation of new accounts and directed new users to InsaneJournal. But then I heard that the influx crashed IJ too.

Not sure if there are any good alternatives availabe nowadays.
